Lassan elkezdek Florida meccseket is nézni

Florida Panthers Executive Vice President/General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has acquired C Brandon Pirri from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Florida’s third round draft choice in the 2014 National Hockey League draft and Florida’s fifth round choice in the 2016 NHL Entry draft.
“Brandon is a young and talented player who we are extremely pleased to have acquired,” said Tallon. “He has experienced tremendous success on the American Hockey League level, being named MVP of the All-Star game and winning the league’s scoring title. Pirri further adds to our depth at center along with Aleksander Barkov, Nick Bjugstad and Drew Shore. We look forward to his contributions to our team.”
Pirri, 22, has played in 35 NHL contests, all with Chicago (2011-2014) scoring six goals with seven assists and six PIM. The Toronto, Ontario, native has played in 26 games with Rockford this season averaging a point-per-game, registering 26 points (11-15-26). Last season, Pirri won the John B. On Saturday, Boyes said he would like to stay with the Panthers and he confirmed that his agent has been in talks with general manager Dale Tallon about a new contract.
Boyes, who got a one-year deal from the Panthers after a training camp tryout, leads Florida in goals (17) and points (28).
"I would like to stay,'' Boyes said. "There have been talks back and forth. We'll see what happens.''

“We’re going to do what’s best for the Panthers to build a championship team,” Tallon said during the recent Olympic break. “We’re not blowing this thing up. If we can sell some assets to get better, we’ll do that. It depends what happens in the next few weeks. We’ll be aggressive either way.”
Kiváncsi vagyok, hogy sikerül-e erősíteni.

Finland center Aleksander Barkov will miss the rest of the 2014 Sochi Olympics with a knee injury sustained Friday against Norway.
According to reports in the Finnish media, the team doctor for Finland has ruled Barkov out for 4-6 weeks after he underwent an MRI.
Barkov, a rookie in the NHL this season with the Florida Panthers after being taken with the second pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, left the game early in the third period. He had three shots on goal and won seven of nine faceoffs in 18 shifts totaling 15:03 of ice time against Norway.
Barkov missed four games at the end of January with a minor knee injury. He has eight goals and 24 points in 54 games for the Panthers.

With the trade deadline approaching, Dmitry Kulikov says he has heard his name mentioned as a possible candidate to leave the Panthers.
A first-round pick in 2009, Kulikov has spent his entire NHL career in Florida and says he doesn't want to go anywhere.
"Wanting to go back to Russia? Those words have never come out of my mouth. I think the people starting that are just trying to create more drama for the league or whatever. .-.-. I want to help turn things around here. I want to win here. The year we made the playoffs was like the best thing ever. It's a totally different feeling. I want to feel that again.''

The Panthers sent defenseman Alex Petrovic back to their AHL team in San Antonio. Petrovic had been working his way back from injury and hasn't played since Jan. 4.
Panthers coach Peter Horachek said the decision to sit Erik Gudbranson on Sunday after the team activated Dylan Olsen was based on performance.

Barkov was injured in the first period of Florida's 4-3 victory against the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night and didn't return to the game. He didn't practice on Thursday and wasn't on the ice for the morning skate Friday.
Interim head coach Peter Horachek said Barkov would be evaluated on a daily basis and no decision had been made yet on whether to take him on a four-game road trip that begins Sunday with a game against the Detroit Red Wings.

Rookie center Aleksander Barkov left late in the first period with an undisclosed lower-body injury.
Coach Peter Horachek said the injury isn't considered serious adding that Barkov was lifted from the game for precautionary reasons.
Barkov, the second-overall pick of the 2013 draft, leads the Panthers in points.
"They said it would be safer .-.-. He probably could have gone back out,'' Horachek said afterward. "We were [winning] and on the road. We just want to be very careful with him.''

Starter Tim Thomas took his first game off in weeks after getting hit with a flu bug he said had run through his family. Thomas, who had started eight straight games, is expected to be back in net Tuesday night in Buffalo.
"I feel a lot better today than I did [Sunday],'' Thomas said after a robust workout Monday morning.
Florida put defenseman Mike Mottau (leg) on the injured list to make room for Winchester.

Florida forward Tomas Kopecky did not participate in the Panthers' morning skate. Panthers coach Peter Horachek said he expects Kopecky to return by Friday, but he could return Tuesday. Forward Jesse Winchester will return to the lineup in Kopecky's absence after missing 14 games with a broken hand.
"I think it's time. I think [Winchester] going back in the lineup will be good for us," Horachek said. "I think he's a pro. He works hard and he does the right things. So, we're anxious to get him back in there."
Goalie Tim Thomas is ill and Scott Clemmensen will start for Florida, Horachek said.
